Order Agreement
These guidelines explain how commissions, revisions, printing, and delivery work so that you know exactly what to expect throughout the process.
The Essential Portrait Process
Every portrait is an original interpretation based on the photographs and information you provide. While not photorealistic, my goal is to honor your pet's appearance while capturing something of their personality and spirit.

Fill out the Order Form: Upload the photo(s) of your pet to be used for the portrait. And feel free to include descriptive details about your pet and what you want their portrait to look like.

Concept sketch and review: After emailing you to confirm receipt of your order and photos, I will send a preliminary design proof showing composition and colors for you to review. One free round of revisions can be made at this point.

Finished art and proof for review: When the pet portrait is completed, I will email a watermarked proof of the artwork for your review. You can request one free round of minor revisions. Major revisions are available for an additional fee.

Digital art delivery: Once you approve the finished art I will send a link to the 300 dpi RGB jpeg file, suitable for printing.
Payment
Total price: $150
Payment in full is due when ordering. Payments will be processed through PayPal, Apple Pay, credit card or Venmo. (Not all payment options are available in countries outside the US.)
Donations
For every Essential Portrait order of $150, I will donate $20 to a worthy cause. You can pick from the people and projects in the dropdown list on the order form. Once your portrait has been delivered, I'll send confirmation that your donation has been made.
Customer Supplied Photos
You can send photos by uploading them in the Order Form or by email to blue@houseofbliss.com.
Good reference photos make a significant difference in the finished portrait. It also helps to have multiple reference photos for the best likeness. If the supplied photos are problematic, I will work with you to find solutions such as shooting new photos or styling the artwork to compensate. You must have the legal right to use the photography sent and I am not liable for the use of any copyrighted photos you send.
Copyright
I retain all copyrights of the produced artwork. You have permission to display the work for private use, but any commercial reproduction of the work is strictly prohibited unless I approve in writing. When sharing work publicly, you agree to give me credit though clear and visible labeling, tagging or verbal acknowledgement.
Revisions
There will be two opportunities for you to request revisions:

When reviewing the initial design proof, one round of revisions is free.

When reviewing the finished art, one more free round of revisions is offered.
Extra or major revisions to the finished art are available for an additional fee. These types of changes could include layout, style, and major changes requiring extensive reworking of the image. In most cases these charges will be no less than $25 and no more than $100 depending on the extent of the change.
Refund Policy
You can cancel the commission and will receive a refund. Refunds may be adjusted to cover my time for work already done. Upon approval of the finished portrait and receipt of the download link, the sale is final.
Portrait Completion Timeline
The time to complete a portrait can vary depending on several factors, such as the quality of photo reference, revisions requested, time waiting for approvals, etc. On average, most portraits should be finished and delivered within 7-10 days.
Delivery of Digital Art
Your portrait file will be uploaded to an online directory and I will email you a link for access to this. The download link will remain active for two weeks unless otherwise requested. If you require the file be sent again after this time period, I may have to charge a fee to cover my time spent retrieving the file from storage.
